Honors Program

The Honors Program is headed to Silicon Valley! This October 25-29 will continue the Honors Program annual senior experiences in cities around the country.  We’ve conquered New York, Washington DC and even Chicago.  Now, we’re headed West to introduce our Bryant students to Silicon Valley.  As on previous trips, we’ve planned a mix of cultural, business and alumni visits.  Key to this trip is the growing number of alumni who have their own start ups – MyWebRoom and Progressly are both on the itinerary.  In addition, alumni at Levi Strauss, Salesforce, and Google have helped facilitate visits. Topping off the cultural side of the trip will be Alcatraz and a trip to a local winery, led by George Dooley ’78.  And finally, the Alumni office is hosting students and alumni for a networking reception. Your support will help offset the estimated $28,000 cost of the experience.

$50

Wine Tasting at Hall Winery

The wine industry has great lessons for students entering the business world – product and price positioning, trademark and intellectual property along with the delicate supply chain will all help our Honors students develop an in depth look at this trend setting industry. Each $50 gift supports one student’s experience.

$100

Transportation

Moving 24 students and two faculty to and from airports and around Silicon valley by bus will cost the Honors Program around $4,500. Your gift of $100 will help make sure they arrive safely and on time.

$285

Hotel

The students will double up, and each room on Fisherman’s Wharf Holiday Inn Express checks in at $285 with breakfast included. Your support will make sure our students get some rest at the end of a full day.

$400

Airfare

We’ll be flying from Boston direct to San Francisco. You can pledge $400 to cover one ticket for our students.

$1,000

Sponsor a Student

Each student on the trip will cost about $1,000 for airfare, meals, hotel and local transportation. You can make the ultimate gift by supporting one anonymous student! Or consider your gift of $1,000 as support for either advisor, Jim Segovis and Jane McKay-Nesbitt.
